Geriatric Home Nursing

Geriatric Care has become the responsibility of the society,  since the nuclear family system has made many old people mentally and socially insecured.

In the light of the above, KSWDC is planning to conduct a training program on Geriatric Home Nursing Care in all the districts of Kerala.

      a)    Objectives :
             i)    Healthy and safe atmosphere for the old.
             ii)    Provide assistance to Senior citizens.
             iii)   Equip unemployed women as care takers of the old     

     b)    Eligibility Criteria
             High school educated women between the age of 16 years to 40 years.
             Preference for Kudumbasree/ Self help group members.

      c)    Batch Capacity
             Each batch will consist maximum 20 members.

      d)    Programmes to be conducted at
             Trivandrum, Pathanamthitta, Kottayam, Idukki, Thrissur, Palakkad, Kozhikode, Wayanad

      e)    Duration of course
             75 days
