The female population in Kerala stands ahead in education. But lack of self-confidence and proper skill upgradation makes them unemployed and economically backward.

In the initial stage this training will be imparted to students of Kollam Women’s I.T.I by Department of Employment & Training under the Labour Department in collaboration with Kerala State Women’s Development Corporation.

•    Training Cum Placement Cell (TCPC)
•    Smart Class Room
•    English Language Course
•    Entrepreneurship Training Programme
•    Special Skill Development Programme for Survey trade, COPA/ DEO, Electronics/ MRTV
•    Soft Skill Development Programme.

Details of training Programme

1. Objective
 

This project aims at the overall development of women, with a special focus in computer and its application.  It provides an opportunity for the poor to be computer literate without investment. 

2.Topics covered
•    Introduction of computer including input, output devices.
•    Introduction to Windows
•    Elements of Word processing
•    Spread Sheet
•    Computer Communications and Internet.
•    www and Web browsers.
•    E-mail.
•    Making small presentation
•    Challenges and promises of Digital Age.

Duration
135 Hrs. (2 section per day, 7-9 AM and 3-5 PM)

280 candidates got benefited in the 1st Batch & the 2nd Batch is going on.
